This season we have been discussing what it means to be a holistic disciple of Jesus--and how to come alongside others in their spiritual journey as well. This episode will reinforce the idea that we are being restored into our original design--image bearers of the Triune God of the Bible. Join us as we envision key dynamics in this process of transformation.

When God created the world and everything in it, He said it was all good--except for one thing. The one thing that was not good was human isolation. It was not good for Adam to be alone. God created humans to be in relationship with each other. Join us as we discuss how others are part of God's design for restoring the Imago Dei in us.

What are the things that run contrary to bearing God's image? We discuss sins of self in this episode, so that as we become more aware of subtle sins, we can repent and ask God to enable us to reflect Him more fully.

This episode continues the discussion of how to faithfully reflect God's value system when we encounter relational conflict.

Reflecting God's heart gets complicated when we encounter conflict. While conflict is inevitable, we can work towards being ministers of reconciliation as we learn to lean into God's value system. Listen in as we discuss how to image God in Conflict.

Disciple-making is a restorative process. One of the obstacles to this process is a soul shaped by shame. This episode, we will unpack the effects of shame and how to overcome its detrimental tendencies.

As we seek to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples, it's helpful to realize that there are pitfalls to avoid. In this episode of "Fragmented Disciple-making," the Corner Pillars' team looks at incomplete strategies that fall short of restoring the image-bearing capacity of humans. We hope that by addressing these pitfalls head-on, we can move toward more holistic dynamics of walking with people on their spiritual journey.

The magnitude of Christ's life on earth has yet to be explored fully. We will be looking at one angle of this mystery by reflecting on Jesus as the perfect image bearer of the Father. As we seek to know more of his life in Scripture with the intent to abide in him and relate to him, we can be shaped by his example of finding life in connection with the Father. The restoration of the "imago dei" comes through relationship.

This season we are looking at holistic disciple-making. In order to do this well, we must identify the distortions that entered into the human experience at the Fall, in Genesis 3. These distortions give us clues about how to meet people where they are at and a framework for how to invite them to participate in the image-bearing capacity provided for us in Christ Jesus. 

The restoration of the image of God in broken humanity is the ultimate vision and purpose that God has for us on earth. How can we envision this destiny? How can we partner with God's work as His ambassadors? How can we catch a glimpse of what God is up to and join Him on the journey? Listen to this month's episode to find out.
